Owner William Barter enjoyed building things with salvaged items that he had on hand from a very young age. From forts to makeshift boats, go-karts, mini-bikes etc. his passion was – and still is – problem solving and working with his hands. His early career was spent in a precision metal fabrication shop. He enjoyed the hands-on and engineering aspect of this job which led him to pursue a degree in marine engineering at Mass Maritime Academy. Upon graduating he worked in the power industry as a field service engineer starting up, upgrading and repairing industrial power equipment.
In 1994 William purchased an apartment building that was very much in disrepair. He was often frustrated because when looking to hire a contractor for a small project or repair they would quite often not return his calls. Hence the company name... Will-Call because he will call you back, guaranteed! And you will see William on every job because he personally does or oversees the work every step of the way.
